Re:Motion, touring exhibition
Graven was commissioned by The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture, Design and the City, to design, build and manage the content collection and tour of this exhibition.
The Re:Motion exhibition, part of the Scottish Executive’s Architectural Policy, explored the meaning of sustainability and its relevance to Scotland, with special reference to future transport policy.
The exhibition was divided into eight sections in which a theme was explored by one of eight Scottish architectural practices. The resulting eight installations incorporated a variety of objects and technologies including moving message boards, interactive digital media and digital video.
The exhibition structure was also created using sustainable guidelines. It is produced using sustainable materials, new computer cutting technologies and no adhesives. We also designed the supporting exhibition catalogue.
The award-winning exhibition opened at the Rotterdam Architectural Biennale in 2003.
