Highland Park, Orkney

Graven worked with  Highland Park on their new customer experience store in Kirkwall, Orkney. The store, a first for Highland Park, will aim to attract Orkney’s cruise ship visitors from across the globe offering a truly design led and interactive Whisky experience.

Our design references distillery architecture, the history of the shop as a tailors and features traditional Orcadian furniture. Locally built joinery and materials have been used that are taken directly from the palette of the whisky making process which gives the store a truly authentic feel.

Sustainability is high on the agenda for the shop going forward.  There will be no plastic bags used on the premises and a new range of consumer merchandise is in development featuring materials crafted from reusable plastics.

It’s been fantastic working with Highland Park and our other collaborators on the project. It’s a first for Highland Park and we certainly hope it’s not the last.
