British Steel Pension Trust, Glasgow
Graven supported the British Steel Pension Trust (BSPT) to relocate their team of 24 to their new 456m sq premises within the first floor at 310 St.Vincent Street, Glasgow.
The brief was to create a modern, interesting, grown-up environment with natural light and great coffee to ensure the team feel valued and to reinforce that their good work makes a difference to the 70,000 members in the fund.
Graven created a sophisticated tailored environment, using carefully crafted and considered quality materials. The use of blackened steel and blk and white imagery of bridges are a nod to the steel industry. The fund supports those that worked hard with many doing difficult jobs in harsh circumstances.
The single open plan layout helped to reinforce the ONE team culture and the new staff break out space supports flexible social events as well as quiet lunch breaks with views over the reception space.
A quality, thoughtful workplace is high on most people’s agenda these days and the move to 310 allowed the BSPT team to create a really welcomed fresh approach and a very positive return to the office with a sense of pride and openness that they were missing.
